The Enderby Bands organisation is one of the largest and highly respected amateur musical organisations in the UK. The organisation consists of five bands, catering for players of brass and woodwind instruments of all abilities, from complete beginners to advanced players and of ages from seven to seventy-plus. Our base is in Enderby’s neighbouring village of Huncote, to the South of Leicester, and the organisation has players from all over Leicestershire and its surrounding counties.
Each of our bands perform in concerts, music festivals and - in the case of the Youth Band and Senior Band - competitions throughout the year. Please check the ‘calendar’ and ‘latest news’ sections for event locations and ticket pricing details.
If you would like to book one of our bands for your event, please use the contact form below or call one of the telephone numbers listed on the contact page and we will endeavour to help with your enquiry. Our bands play a variety of music suitable for most occasions and are always open to suggestions and requests.
The organisation’s core aim is to provide high quality musical tuition to all, regardless of background and capability. We believe that the personal benefits of being able to play and perform in a musical group should be presented to as many people as possible. We operate an ‘open door’ policy – you are welcome to come along to any of our rehearsals either at the Bandroom or the Enderby Village Institute. Anyone can join one of our bands, whether you are already an advanced player or simply want to learn a new skill. If you are interested in learning an instrument, please contact us using the form at the bottom of the page and we will be happy to help. You don’t need to own an instrument, have any previous experience, or be a particular age, your enthusiasm to learn is all we require.
The Enderby Bands Organisation take our safeguarding responsiblities to our members very seriously. Please click here to view a copy of our Safeguarding Policy
