Band President Garry Sleath and Treasurer Elaine Cook have recently spoken to Ben Jackson at BBC Radio Leicester about the difficulties facing Enderby Band and what the local community can do to help.
To continue putting on performances and concerts, we really do need a new home. It's costing us more money to rent rehearsal space than we can make each year, which means we are not able to replace uniforms, purchase new music, new mutes, repair instruments...the list goes on!
We've also seen a drop in numbers joining our Junior band, too, which has had a knock on effect to both our Youth band and senior bands.
You will have seen that we've all been out and about over the King's Coronation weekend and some of our current and ex-players were even taking part in the parade in London.
Enderby Band has been in existence since 1895 and takes pride in supporting the local community.
For us to continue and for us to help future players grow, we really do need your help.
